As an Allied Universal Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will manage access control by welcoming drivers and team members, verifying credentials, and directing visitors to the right areas. You will complete routine patrols and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, document activity, and communicate clearly with site leadership. Requirements
- MUST HAVE VALID AND CURRENT CA. GUARD CARD & TRAINING CERTIFICATES!
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Control access at entry points by checking identification, issuing and collecting visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor, driver, and contractor logs per site requirements.
- Monitor inbound and outbound activity such as employee entry, deliveries, and trailer moves, and help to deter unauthorized access by verifying appointments, paperwork, and/or load information when assigned.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and notifying site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, yards, and perimeter areas, reporting irregular conditions, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations through the appropriate channels.
