You will document activity, support access control, and use computer and/or tablet tools to assist operations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Having a Guard Card and/or applicable license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting actions taken, and coordinating with site leadership and/or public responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points, checking for unusual conditions, unsecured doors, and/or unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access control points and building systems as assigned, verifying authorization for entry, following visitor management procedures, and reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
  • Complete routine reporting such as shift logs, patrol documentation, and incident reports, communicating relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts per post orders.
