About The Position

As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and media location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will use clear communication and customer service to support employees and visitors, document observations using a computer and/or tablet, and partner with site teams to respond to concerns with integrity, teamwork, and an agile, reliable, innovative approach.

Requirements

  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Having a guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • CPR Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a tech and media location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe cameras and/or alarm systems as assigned, documenting security-related events and reporting irregular conditions per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed and assisting with scene control until help arrives.
  • Complete detailed written reports and activity logs, communicate clearly with Allied Universal supervision and site contacts, and support security-related investigations as requested.
