About The Position

As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and media location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will use clear communication and customer service to support employees and visitors, document observations using a computer and/or tablet, and partner with site teams to respond to concerns with integrity, teamwork, and an agile, reliable, innovative approach.

Requirements

Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Having a guard card and/or license is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
CPR Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a tech and media location.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and observe cameras and/or alarm systems as assigned, documenting security-related events and reporting irregular conditions per post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed and assisting with scene control until help arrives.
Complete detailed written reports and activity logs, communicate clearly with Allied Universal supervision and site contacts, and support security-related investigations as requested.
