As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control points, assist staff, students, and visitors with clear communication, and document observations and/or concerns. Bring a customer-service mindset to a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.

Requirements

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an education location.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions, unauthorized persons, and/or security-related hazards; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical calls, disturbances, and/or facility issues per post orders.
Complete detailed reports of incidents, patrol activities, and policy violations; communicate updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal management as required.
