Requirements

• Have 1+ years of security experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors at a government location by following post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures, and/or assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, noting unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance issues for reporting.
• Monitor access points by observing entry and exit activity, verifying authorization when required, and directing visitors to appropriate destinations in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing clear communication to site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
• Complete timely written reports and activity logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate shift turnover information to the next officer and/or supervisor.
