As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist guests and store teams with clear, respectful communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to site leadership and/or public partners when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail sales floors, common areas, loading and receiving areas, and perimeter spaces to help to reduce unwanted activity and identify potential hazards or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for suspicious behavior, shoplifting indicators, and/or unauthorized access, documenting observations and reporting concerns through established channels.
• Complete detailed shift reports and incident documentation, including customer interactions, patrol findings, and follow-up actions, using required paper and/or electronic systems.
