As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout a dynamic retail environment. This is a driving post, requiring you to navigate the location and remain highly visible to support a secure atmosphere. You will interact with the public, provide exceptional customer service, and act as a trusted presence while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
State, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
This is primarily a driving post.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the well-being of staff, visitors, and property.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Document and report any irregularities or incidents according to established protocols.
Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
Collaborate with store management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related matters and maintain a welcoming environment for customers and staff.
Remain visible and approachable to provide assistance and information to customers and visitors as needed.
