About The Position

As a Screener at a busy retail and mall location, you will greet guests, manage access points, and support security-related screening and badge processes while maintaining a highly visible presence. You will conduct routine rounds nearby, respond to alarms and access control activity, and deliver customer-focused communication to shoppers and staff. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Screen entrants at designated access points by checking tickets and/or identification, observing for prohibited items, and following established entry protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to site leadership and/or public responders as needed.
  • Monitor entrances, queue lines, and common areas for unusual activity and help to deter policy violations through visible presence and clear communication.
  • Complete required reports and documentation, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.
