As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a residential community, you will perform routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and resident concerns with calm, professional communication. Requirements

  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential apartment community.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, common spaces, and perimeter to help to identify suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations; document and report observations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, and resident concerns; notify appropriate parties and request assistance as needed.
  • Monitor access points and community rules by observing visitor traffic, checking credentials when required, and assisting with vendor check-in and/or deliveries in accordance with post orders.
  • Complete shift logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and promptly; communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
