As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine mobile patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with clear communication and professionalism. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card or license. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset to support a reliable, innovative program. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience is required.
  • You must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • You must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and contractors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and applicable government facility procedures, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazards; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and conduct security-related screening and/or credential verification as directed, maintaining controlled entry and orderly visitor processing.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting law enforcement and/or medical assistance as needed and supporting on-scene operations.
  • Document observations, patrol activity, and incidents in written reports and logs, and communicate significant updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
