As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, document observations, and communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors while delivering strong customer service. Requirements
- Possess a TSA issued TWIC card.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial processing location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, operating areas, tank farms, loading areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, vehicles, and deliveries; direct visitors and drivers to designated check-in areas in accordance with site rules.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate notifications to site contacts and/or public responders as directed by post orders.
- Complete detailed shift documentation including patrol logs, incident reports, and maintenance or hazard observations; communicate relevant updates during shift turnovers.
