As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy hotel and resort location, you will conduct routine patrols across guest areas and back of house spaces, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related issues, and respond to incidents with calm, clear communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Have a guard card and/or license preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, and vendors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a hotel and convention center location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with guest concerns, disturbances, medical calls, and fire alarms, and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas such as lobbies, corridors, meeting spaces, loading areas, and parking areas, as well as exterior perimeter checks, noting and reporting unusual activity.
  • Control access to designated areas by monitoring entrances, checking credentials and/or event access as directed, and directing visitors to appropriate locations while maintaining professional guest service.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrol activity, incidents, and maintenance concerns, and communicate observations to site management and/or emergency responders as required.
