As a Screener with Allied Universal at a government hospital location, you will greet patients, visitors, and staff while conducting entry screening and access control that supports vaccine operations. You will remain highly visible at key points, help to deter security-related incidents, communicate clearly, and assist with directions and questions. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, you will bring integrity and teamwork to every interaction.
Requirements
- Hospital site requires vaccines.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government healthcare location.
- Screen individuals, bags, and authorized items at designated entry points using required equipment and procedures, and help manage access control in accordance with site policies.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating notifications to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including public spaces, corridors, entrances, and the perimeter, reporting unusual activity or hazards per post orders.
- Complete required documentation such as incident reports, visitor logs, and screening activity records, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.
