About The Position

As an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist tenants and visitors, document activity, and report concerns clearly. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including lobbies, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, verify authorization for entry as required, and help to manage visitor and contractor flow according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and/or fire or alarm activations, and coordinate notifications per site protocols.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, document observations and incidents, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
