As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff and visitors with professional customer service. You will complete routine patrols, observe and report unusual activity, and communicate clearly with site contacts and your team. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to site staff and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a government location.
Control access by verifying identification and/or visitor authorization, issuing visitor credentials as directed, and documenting entries, exits, and deliveries per post orders.
Monitor cameras, alarms, and/or other security-related systems, report irregular activity, and help to deter unauthorized access or prohibited activity.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site leadership and/or public emergency services when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including interior spaces and perimeter checks as applicable, and complete required activity logs and incident reports.
