As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will deliver outstanding customer service while documenting observations and supporting staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Pepper Spray Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards, damaged property, and/or unusual conditions.
  • Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying authorization when required, and directing visitors to appropriate destinations while maintaining professional communication.
  • Complete required documentation such as activity logs, incident reports, and shift turnover notes, and communicate relevant updates to oncoming personnel.
