As a Screener in a government location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment while providing outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Flex Pay Rate: $21.45 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related screening procedures and adhering to site-specific policies at the location.
Conduct screening of individuals entering the premises to help to deter prohibited items and/or unauthorized access.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
Assist with emergency response activities as required by site protocols.
Maintain a visible presence at screening points to help to deter potential issues and provide assistance to visitors and staff as needed.
