As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will support access control by greeting staff and visitors, verifying credentials, managing badges, and directing guests with a service-first approach. You will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, document activity, and communicate clearly with site leadership. Requirements
- A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients at a healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Manage access control at entrances and controlled areas by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or appointments, issuing visitor credentials, and directing individuals to the appropriate destination per site procedures.
- Monitor access points and security-related systems as assigned, document visitor and vendor activity, and help to deter unauthorized entry by following established check-in and authorization steps.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site personnel and/or emergency services and completing required reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
