About The Position

As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and support visitor check-in while maintaining clear logs and communication. You will remain visible, respond to alarms and access issues, and deliver strong customer service with integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in line with AU Driver Policy Requirements.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification, issuing and collecting badges or credentials, processing visitors and contractors, and directing personnel to proper check-in locations.
  • Monitor and operate access control systems, gates, and cameras as assigned, maintaining accurate logs of entries, exits, deliveries, and incidents.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and documenting actions taken per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, process areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
