As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will welcome employees, drivers, and visitors while managing entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and supporting badge and visitor processes. You will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, while documenting activity and communicating clearly with site contacts. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and post orders at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at entrances, gates, and docks by verifying identification and credentials, issuing badges, maintaining visitor and vehicle logs, and directing arrivals to appropriate check-in points.
  • Monitor access control systems and cameras to help identify unauthorized entry attempts, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations, and report findings per site protocol.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including perimeter lines, parking areas, and dock zones, documenting security-related observations and reporting maintenance and/or hazard concerns per procedure.
