As a Front Desk Officer in a healthcare location, you will greet staff, patients, and visitors, manage access control, monitor cameras and alarms, and document incidents using computer-based tools. You will serve as a visible presence that helps to deter security-related concerns while providing calm, professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Staff a front desk post by greeting and directing visitors, managing sign-in and/or visitor pass processes, and assisting with access control to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other front desk systems; document security-related activity and escalate concerns to site leadership and/or appropriate responders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with clinical staff and/or local emergency services as needed.
  • Complete reports and logs, communicate clearly with the oncoming shift, and support additional administrative duties related to security-related operations at the reception area.
