As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, support staff and visitors with clear communication, and respond to calls for assistance with professionalism. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior corridors, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting and reporting unusual activity or conditions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, reporting, and coordinating with clinical staff and local responders as directed.
  • Control access at designated points by monitoring doors, checking credentials as required, and helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited items in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete detailed shift documentation, including patrol logs, incident reports, and follow-up communications, and promptly notify Allied Universal supervision and site contacts of security-related concerns.
