As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely incident reporting. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff and visitors at a government human services location by following Allied Universal site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, check identification and/or authorization as required, and direct visitors to appropriate service areas while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or site leadership as needed.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and unusual conditions in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate updates during shift briefings and/or handoffs.
