As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet associates and visitors, support access control and badging, and help monitor entry points to reduce security-related incidents. You will conduct routine checks, remain highly visible, document activity using a computer and/or tablet, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Preferred to have loss prevention experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and contractors at entry points by checking identification, confirming authorization, and conducting security-related screening of bags, packages, and/or personal items per site procedures.
  • Monitor screening equipment and access control points, document screening results as required, and communicate issues to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting and documenting unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential threats.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity, with working environments and conditions varying by client site.
