Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will support daily operations through security-related screening and access processes. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a strong visible presence to help to deter incidents, and communicate clearly with team members and visitors. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, you will deliver with teamwork and act with integrity while providing outstanding customer service.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, location policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution facility.
• Conduct entry and exit screening of employees, contractors, and visitors using approved screening methods and equipment, verifying identification and access authorization per site-specific policies.
• Monitor and document package, parcel, and shipment screening activity, escalate prohibited items and policy violations, and maintain accurate logs and reports.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating clearly with site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including operational areas, docks, and perimeter, noting and reporting suspicious activity and conditions that may help to deter unwanted activity.
