As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help support smooth operations by screening people and property, managing access control and badges, and maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, document security-related activity, and deliver clear customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, drivers and/or contractors at entry points using site-approved methods, verifying identification and access authorization.
  • Inspect inbound and outbound packages, parcels, trailers and/or loads as directed, reporting irregularities and policy concerns to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions in written reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, monitoring dock doors, yard areas and high-traffic zones; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
