As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a residential community, you will support access control at the entry point, greet residents and guests, verify credentials, and log activity using a computer and/or tablet. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, with vehicle patrols throughout the property to help reduce security-related incidents while providing outstanding service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or delivery drivers while following Allied Universal security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a residential community access point.
  • Control entry and exit by verifying credentials, confirming authorization, issuing visitor passes and/or instructions, and documenting visitor and vehicle activity per post orders.
  • Monitor gates, doors, and/or access control equipment, report malfunctions or irregular activity, and notify appropriate contacts when follow-up is needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and completing detailed reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of community common areas and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage, and report maintenance concerns and unusual conditions.
