About The Position

As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will greet employees and visitors, manage entry points, verify credentials, and track guest and delivery activity using computers and/or tablets. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements

  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in and/or sign-out, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and directing guests, vendors, and contractors to designated locations.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound traffic such as employee vehicles and delivery trucks, confirm appointments and/or shipping paperwork as required by site procedures, and report discrepancies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing required notifications and written reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production and storage areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual conditions and reporting concerns per site protocol.
