As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a busy retail distribution location, you will manage access control by verifying credentials, issuing badges, and logging visitors and deliveries. You will remain visible at key entry points, conduct routine patrols, and communicate clearly with associates and guests to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under the AU Driver Policy Requirements. Position Type: Flex Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Sat 12:30 PM - 07:30 PM

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
• Control access at entrances and gated areas by checking identification and verifying visitor, vendor, and contractor authorization before entry.
• Monitor inbound and outbound traffic at the location, including employee and delivery activity, and report irregularities per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and notifying appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including exterior areas and perimeter points, as directed by site procedures.
