As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, and support visitor and contractor check-in while maintaining clear logs and communication. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver welcoming customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors at a commercial real estate location by following site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access at building entrances and restricted areas by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, managing sign-in and/or sign-out logs, and directing guests to appropriate destinations.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems for unusual activity; document observations and report concerns through established communication channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site management and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of lobbies, common areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
