Join Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location in an Access Control post, where you will help manage entry points, greet shoppers and associates, check credentials, track visitors and deliveries, and support security-related protocols with clear communication. You will remain highly visible, conduct routine area checks nearby, and use a computer and/or tablet to document activity. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Control access to the property by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor passes when required, and directing traffic to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to site leadership and documenting activities per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, common areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and other access control systems as assigned, and communicate security-related information promptly via radio, phone, and written reports.
