Join Allied Universal at a residential community access control post where you will help manage guest and vendor entry, verify credentials, monitor alarms and/or access activity, and document incidents using a computer or tablet. You will remain highly visible, conduct routine patrols as needed, and deliver friendly customer service while communicating clearly with residents and team members. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors and/or delivery drivers by following site-specific security-related procedures and access control policies.
  • Control entry and exit at designated gates and/or entrances by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes as directed, and maintaining visitor, vendor and incident logs.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or notifying site management when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential common areas, amenities, parking areas and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
  • Monitor cameras, intercoms and/or alarm panels as assigned, report maintenance concerns, and complete required reports for shift activity and incidents.
