As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, greet associates and visitors, and support a smooth flow of deliveries and foot traffic. You will monitor activity, document security-related observations, and communicate concerns with site leadership. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, associates, and drivers by following site-specific security-related procedures and access control policies at entrances, gates, and/or receiving areas.
• Control entry by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate locations within a retail distribution environment.
• Monitor inbound and outbound activity including deliveries and pickups, checking documentation as required and reporting unusual or unauthorized activity to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, assisting with emergency response activities, and documenting events per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas including parking and perimeter zones, noting hazards, access issues, and/or suspicious conditions and communicating findings through reports.
