As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet drivers and employees, verify credentials, manage visitor and vehicle entry, and track activity using logs and access systems. You will remain visible, conduct routine rounds near entry points, and report concerns to help reduce security-related incidents. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Staff access control posts at entrances, gates, and/or guard shacks by checking identification, verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, and directing traffic flow for employee, visitor, and vendor entry.
• Support shipping and receiving operations by monitoring loading dock activity, controlling access to restricted areas, logging inbound and outbound trucks and trailers, and reporting irregularities according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including completing incident reports and communicating updates to Allied Universal management and site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking lots, dock doors, and perimeter points, noting and reporting conditions that may help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations.
