As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a busy food and beverage location, you will manage access control by greeting employees and visitors, verifying credentials, monitoring entry points, and documenting activity. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and provide clear, professional communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and meeting AU Driver Policy Requirements.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying identification, and directing arrivals to the proper loading dock, office area, and/or check-in point.
  • Monitor and control entry and exit at gates, guard shacks, and/or lobby checkpoints, including managing visitor logs, issuing temporary credentials, and communicating access approvals with site contacts.
  • Screen incoming deliveries and outbound shipments by checking bills of lading, trailer numbers, seals, and/or shipping paperwork, and reporting irregularities per site policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting events, and supporting emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility interior and exterior, including parking areas and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related hazards and/or suspicious activity.
