Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, students, faculty, and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk of the location.
  • Monitor and control access to the building, verifying identification and/or credentials as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, visitor logs, and/or incident reports as directed by Allied Universal and site leadership.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, students, and/or visitors, addressing inquiries and providing information as needed.
  • Assist with emergency response activities at the front desk when appropriate, following instructions from Allied Universal and site leadership.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
