As a Front Desk Security Professional at an educational location, you will be the first point of contact, welcoming students, staff, and visitors while monitoring access and assisting with security-related concerns. You will help to deter incidents through your presence and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, students, faculty, and staff by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying identification and/or credentials as required.
  • Assist with visitor management, including signing in guests and providing directions or information as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, following established protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with all individuals entering the location and assist with inquiries or requests related to security-related matters.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and on-site staff to help to deter unauthorized activities at the front desk area.
