As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will complete routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls with clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access control activities, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and document entries, exits, and unusual activity per site procedures.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate relevant information during shift transitions, and assist with security-related inspections such as checking gates, doors, and posted restricted areas.
