As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening personnel, visitors, and deliveries, monitoring assigned areas, and completing routine patrols as needed. You will remain highly visible, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with team members and site leadership. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to Allied Universal clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and drivers at entry points by verifying identification and access authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing individuals to the appropriate check-in process.
  • Conduct screening of persons and belongings using approved methods and screening equipment as required by site policy, and help to deter prohibited items from entering restricted areas.
  • Monitor access control points and security-related systems, document screening results and irregularities, and complete required reports and logs in a timely manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including escalating concerns to site management and/or emergency services per post orders.
