As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with team members and site contacts, document observations, and respond to situations with calm professionalism and strong customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, drivers, vendors and/or visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Respond to incidents, alarms and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and escalate concerns through the chain of command as needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, loading docks, parking areas, trailer yards and perimeter lines; working environments and conditions may vary by location and shift.
Help to monitor access points and vehicle flow, verifying credentials and/or authorization for entry, deliveries and departures in accordance with site procedures.
Perform rounds to help identify unsecured doors, broken lights, unusual conditions, package or freight irregularities and/or suspicious activity, and report findings per post orders.
Help to monitor and operate security-related systems such as CCTV, access control, alarms and/or radio communications, and document system alerts and observations.
Complete patrol logs, incident reports and other required documentation with accurate details, including times, locations, persons involved and actions taken.
Assist with traffic direction and staging during peak inbound and outbound periods, special events and/or emergency conditions as directed by site leadership.
Support emergency and business continuity procedures such as evacuation, severe weather response and/or medical response by providing direction, notifications and scene control within assigned authority.
Maintain a professional presence, communicate clearly with site personnel and management, and coordinate with responding public resources when requested.
