As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and telecom location, you will coordinate security-related response and communication, monitor alarms and video systems, manage access control and badge activity, and document incidents in real time. You will serve as a calm, customer focused point of contact for employees, visitors, and vendors, helping to reduce disruptions through teamwork, integrity, and an agile, innovative approach.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and/or telecommunications location.
  • Operate the dispatch function by monitoring alarms, access control events, CCTV, and other building systems, then prioritizing calls for service and coordinating response with on-site personnel and/or local authorities as needed.
  • Receive calls, radios, and electronic notifications, document incident details, and relay clear updates to supervisors, technicians, and/or designated client contacts in a timely, problem-solving manner.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports of alarms, incidents, service requests, and communications using site systems, while following confidentiality and information handling requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, checking critical areas such as data halls, loading areas, and mechanical or utility spaces, as permitted by post orders and site conditions.
