As a Dispatch Officer at a healthcare location, you will help coordinate security-related operations by monitoring cameras and alarms, tracking officer activity, and dispatching resources as needs arise. You will document incidents, manage radio and phone communications, support access control and visitor guidance, and deliver responsive customer service to staff and guests. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Operate the dispatch center by monitoring alarms, CCTV, and communication systems, prioritizing calls for service, and coordinating officer response via radio, phone, and/or computer systems.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, gathering key details, notifying appropriate internal contacts and/or public responders per post orders, and documenting actions taken.
  • Maintain accurate security-related logs and records such as shift activity, incident reports, key and badge activity, and dispatch communications, escalating unusual activity to site leadership.
  • Support site operations by assisting with access control procedures, directing visitors to appropriate areas, and coordinating non-emergency requests for assistance in accordance with site-specific policies.
