Job Description As a Security Officer - Emergency Dispatch Desk in Phoenix, AZ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Dispatch Officer in an educational location, you will coordinate security-related responses, monitor activity, and support officers and staff through clear radio and phone communication. You will document incidents, assist with access control requests, and help keep operations running smoothly using computer-based tools. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1+ years of security experience is required.
  • A minimum typing speed of 40 WPM is required.
  • Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at an education location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
  • Dispatch officers and coordinate response to alarms, calls for service, and/or campus incidents using radios, phones, and computer systems; relay clear information to appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor cameras, access control systems, and/or other security-related technology, and communicate observed issues to responding personnel in a timely, problem-solving manner.
  • Document and report incidents, dispatch activity, and shift events through written reports, call logs, and/or electronic systems in accordance with site procedures.
  • Coordinate regular and random patrol activity around buildings, common areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
