As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a chemical and petrochemical environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will interact with personnel and visitors, deliver outstanding customer service, and support a secure atmosphere through routine patrols and communication. Requirements

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including areas where chemicals and petrochemical materials are present, to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor for and report any unusual conditions or potential hazards within the location, particularly those related to chemical and petrochemical operations.
  • Communicate and collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters and/or emergencies.
  • Maintain awareness of site-specific protocols related to chemical and petrochemical environments while performing patrols and other assigned duties.
  • Document observations, incidents, and/or activities as required by site policies and Allied Universal procedures.
