Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a tech, media, and/or telecom location.
Screen and control access for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors using site access rules, credential checks, and visitor processing.
Operate screening equipment and/or conduct manual screening as required, following posted instructions and site protocols.
Verify deliveries and service appointments, direct authorized personnel to designated areas, and communicate arrival details to appropriate contacts.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including escalating issues to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership as needed.
Monitor alarms, cameras, and other monitoring systems as assigned, and report unusual activity in accordance with site procedures.
Complete required reports such as incident reports, shift activity logs, and screening documentation with accurate, timely details.
Support a professional atmosphere by providing directions, answering general questions, and assisting with queue management during peak traffic times.
Help to deter unauthorized access, policy violations, and/or prohibited items through consistent screening practices, observation, and communication.
Coordinate with on-site teams and emergency services as needed during emergencies, evacuations, and/or drills, following site instructions and post orders.
