About The Position

As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and media location, you will help manage entry points by greeting visitors, confirming credentials, screening for prohibited items, and communicating clearly with site teams. You will monitor assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and document security-related observations to help reduce incidents. Bring an agile, reliable mindset and a caring, people-first approach as you support teamwork and act with integrity.

Requirements

  • A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access control requirements, and other security-related policies at a technology location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, deliveries, and/or contractors using approved methods and equipment, verify identification and credentials, and issue badges and/or passes as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, lobbies, screening areas, and the building perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting concerns through the established chain of communication.
  • Complete accurate reports of screening activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate key information to oncoming personnel and Allied Universal supervision.
