As a Security Officer supporting a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will greet customers and staff, respond to security-related concerns, and communicate clearly while documenting key observations. Requirements

  • Applicants must have a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Applicants must have at least 1 year of security experience.
  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff and visitors at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Monitor access points, visitor flow, and security-related systems such as alarms and video monitoring, and document observations and incidents according to site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and policy concerns.
  • Prepare clear reports of daily activities, security-related events, and unusual conditions, and communicate updates to the onsite supervisor and/or client representatives.
