You will stay visible, document observations using a computer or tablet, and communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors while providing strong customer service. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of utility operations areas, buildings, and perimeter fencing, documenting observations and reporting maintenance and/or security-related concerns per post orders.
• Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify credentials as required, and assist with visitor and contractor check-in and/or direction in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching appropriate notifications and supporting on-site personnel until relieved.
• Complete detailed shift reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation using written logs and/or electronic systems, and communicate status updates to supervision as needed.
