Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
A valid TSA issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations around the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the chemical and petrochemical facility, including business areas and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for unusual activity and/or hazards during patrols and promptly report findings according to Allied Universal protocols.
Maintain detailed and accurate logs of patrols, observations, and all incidents.
Assist with access control by verifying credentials of personnel and visitors entering restricted areas within the location.
Support Allied Universal management and the client with security-related tasks as directed, adapting to changing site needs and conditions.
