As a Security Officer specializing in access control at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will interact with site personnel and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

A valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid guard card or license is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Control access to the location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized individuals.
Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and client requirements.
Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with access needs and general inquiries.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and report any irregularities.
Monitor surveillance equipment and/or alarm systems as required for the post.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and maintenance issues according to established protocols.
